Microneedling

Microneedling is a proven method for improving the appearance of the skin. It is used for scars, eye wrinkles, mouth wrinkles, skin atrophy (caused by multiyear sun damage), skin roughness, pigmentation spots, stretch marks, and overall aging skin. The treatment generates minuscule vertical punctures that stimulate regenerative processes.

The scientifically proven skin reactions to microneedling can be explained as such: Due to micro-injuries, the body’s own cells (fibroblasts) and growth factors migrate into the skin; together, they cause the conversion of undirected, fibrous, and inelastic collagen into youthful, smooth collagen.

The growth of the body’s own skin cells leads to a thickening of the upper layer of skin that becomes more stable, resistant, and finer again as a result. The effect can be boosted by applying concentrated doses of vitamin A and C. We also exclusively work the same hyaluronic acid into the skin that we also use to treat dark circles under the eye.

We are currently documenting this optimization of microneedling - especially in problematic areas like the eyes and mouth wrinkles - in an observational study . Overall, we see this to be an ideal approach that advances our treatment concepts in a particularly natural way.

Microneedling is a medical treatment that must be carefully executed by an expert. From experience, the best results can be achieved when using a 1-2mm needle. For this reason, this treatment also belongs in trained hands to ensure an almost painless and complication-free treatment.

Four to six treatments are required for the best result. As collagen regeneration and conversion begins after four to six weeks at the earliest, we recommend intervals of four to six weeks.

To maintain and continue to optimize the result, we also recommend skincare products containing retinol.
